The Bolivian National Evaporite Deposits Division is setting up a SCIENTIFIC SUPPORT COMMITTEE, whose members are well-known national and international scientists who wish to contribute to Bolivia’s brine industrialization initiative with their knowledge and research. The role of this committee is to support the pilot project to industrialize the brine in the Salar de Uyuni, Salar de Coipasa and other salt flats, and the production of lithium carbonate and its by-products, by carrying out research and providing information and technical and scientific advice on a voluntary basis.
We invite scientists and experts who identify with and support the Bolivian initiative to join the scientific committee as voluntary members. (1)
In view of the distances involved, committee members will coordinate their work primarily through discussion forums, teleconferences, information circulation and correspondence.
